''Fuzzy Side Up'' Quotes from Grey's Anatomy Season 8, Episode 11

Plenty of playful banter to go around in this episode of Grey's Anatomy, especially between Bailey (Chandra Wilson) and her revived beau Ben. But there were also moments of soul-baring honesty and emotion, too. Let's recap the best words uttered on this week's episode.

10. Alex: "Well, guess what? Yoda down there? Biggest shark of them all."
First time we've heard Richard (James Pickens Jr.) compared to Yoda. Is he small? No. Is he green? No. Does he have hair growing out of his ears? Well...

9. Ben [to Bailey]: "Well, I'd say we should get a drink and celebrate, but I know you don't have room in your life for joy."
It's funny because it kinda seems true!

8. Ben: "You have a child? Whoa, when did that happen?" Bailey: "Oh, stop, you are not a funny man."
Ben, rest assured, you most definitely are a funny man.

7. Callie [to Arizona, about Sofia's blanket]: "Fuzzy side up, not down, up, not down, up, not down, up, my way, my way."
Zinger! Callie (Sara Ramirez) impersonates Arizona (Jessica Capshaw) pitch-perfectly.

6. Bailey [to Ben]: "My toothbrush is in my locker. One step at a time."
We get the symbolism, but even in terms of baby steps, that one is kinda tiny.

Grey's Anatomy Doc Speak: What's Bradicardia?

Did you miss any of the finer points regarding Henry's surgery on Grey's Anatomy Season 8, Episode 11: “This Magic Moment”? You know, despite the fact that Cristina (Sandra Oh) recited the steps every five minutes during the episode? Well, we hear ya. We heard some words we didn't recognize, so we did a little internet sleuthing to get the scoop.

Cristina said that Henry went bradycardic during the operation. Bradycardia occurs when an adult's heart beat slows to a rate of sixty beats per minute. Symptoms become noticeable, however, when the heartbeat lessens to 50 beats per minute. In some cases, an individual's bradycardia can cause cardiac arrest because the heart is not receiving enough oxygen. But that's the gravest scenario — milder symptoms include shortness of breath and fainting.

Cristina also said she performed a laser endoscopy on Henry. An endoscopy is a procedure in which the medical instrument, the endoscope, is used to inspect and examine the inside of an organ or cavity in the human body. An endoscope is unique in its ability to be inserted directly into the organ or cavity.

A laser endoscopy takes this procedure one step further by introducing intense light energy to remove or heal tissue within the organ. Often, this laser therapy can be much less intrusive than using, say, a scalpel for the same procedure.

Knowledge is power, folks! Now we're gonna take bets: who will be the first celebrity to name his or her newborn Bradycardia?

Grey's Anatomy Season 8, Episode 12 Preview: "Hope for the Hopeless"

Is the pressure of making life-and-death decisions day in and day out getting to be too much for the Grey's Anatomy doctors?

In this preview of Season 8, Episode 12: "Hope for the Hopeless," it looks like everyone's starting to crack. Derek (Patrick Dempsey) flips a coin to make a big decision, Owen (Kevin McKidd) and Cristina (Sandra Oh) are fighting again, and Lexie (Chyler Leigh) looks like she's freaking out.

We're not exactly sure what's happening, but it definitely seems intense. Check it out:

Grey's Anatomy Season 8, Episode 11 Recap: ''This Magic Moment''

The flip itself goes flawlessly, and the docs separate Tweedledee from Tweedledum, but then Brandi's one kidney fails, so the docs have to get a kidney for her from Andi. Right before the transplant, Richard apologizes to Alex, confessing that his age (“You realize you have more yesterdays than tomorrows.”) is making him feel obsolete. Alex takes pity and gives Richard his role in the transplant; Richard gloats, calling Alex a sucker. Hah! We love that crafter codger.

After the surgery ends and the twins are fine, Callie (Sara Ramirez) gives Arizona a taste of her own medicine by micromanaging how Arizona cares for Sofia, and Arizona admits she was a monster in the OR.

Oh, and hey, by the way, Bailey (Chanda Wilson) is back with Ben! Surprise! But the heat is on as he pressures her to move in. (Whoa, dude! Chillax a bit, huh?) She practically coerces Meredith(Ellen Pompeo) to scrub in on her surgery with Ben to act as a buffer, but Meredith is hardly any help at all.

Right when Bailey goes on a rant about how she is such a good surgeon because she keeps her personal life out of the OR, the surgical staff realizes that they're missing a sponge. Meredith suggests it's in the patient's chest cavity, sending Bailey into a fit, but then Mer tells Bailey that the sponge is stuck to Bailey's shoe. Did Mer know all along? Was this all a ploy? Those Greys can be sly like foxes!

Grey's Anatomy Review: Rate Season 8, Episode 11: ''This Magic Moment''

Nervousness abounds at Seattle Grace-Mercy West at the start of this episode, Season 8, Episode 11: “This Magic Moment.” The docs are preparing to separate conjoined twins, two infant girls named Brandi and Andi. They rehearse the procedure one more time, and then start the real deal. It goes as well as could be expected, but one of the twins suffers kidney failure, so they transplant a kidney from one baby the the other. And then everything is fine, fine... with the babies, at least. Callie (Sara Ramirez) is pissed with Arizona (Jessica Capshaw) for being so controlling during the surgery, and Alex (Justin Chambers) is pissed at Richard (James Pickens Jr.) for stealing his role in the operation.

Meanwhile, Derek (Patrick Dempsey) and Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) are desperate to get Zola's first steps videotaped. Meredith also scrubs in on a surgery with Bailey (Chanda Wilson) — apparently, Bailey's enjoying being back with Ben, but needs a buffer because Ben is pressuring her to move in with him. Bailey rants about how she never makes mistakes, and then Meredith points out that Bailey has a surgical sponge stuck to her shoe. Whoops.

Elsewhere in the hospital, Teddy (Kim Raver) keeps paging Cristina (Sandra Oh) again and again so that Cristina can recite the steps of Henry's surgery time after time. She periodically interrupts the recitations to interrogate Cristina on details of the chronology. The questioning gradually grates on April's (Sarah Drew) nerves, and she flips out... but to no effect. Finally Teddy is satisfied and tearfully tells Cristina that she performed admirably.

This magic moment? Which one was that, exactly? Because we thought this episode was a bit, well, blah. We know; we're supposed to be impressed that the surgeons successfully pulled off another epic surgery. We know; babies are cure. We know, Teddy's grieving. But we're just a bit underwhelmed. Eh, we give this episode 3 stars. It would get two-and-a-half, but Zola's pretty darn cute, especially when she waddles.

Remember to tune in to the episode on Thursday, January 19, at 9 pm ET/PT on ABC.
